It All Started With an Idea

Around two years ago, Ravi More had an idea — to build MORIV, an entertainment platform where people could discover and watch movies, TV shows, and anime.

What started as an idea slowly became reality when Ravi launched the first MORIV website at MORIV.in.

Back then, there was no team behind the project. Ravi was doing everything himself — managing the website, adding movies, handling servers, and trying to turn his vision into something real.

The website had around 100 movies, no TV shows, limited server capacity, and a design that still needed a lot of work.

But the biggest challenge was not the idea. It was making everything work.

The First Shutdown

As more work piled up, the limitations became impossible to ignore. The website struggled with performance, the servers were slow, and managing everything alone took an enormous amount of time.

Ravi tried to show people what MORIV was, but visitors were few. The experience wasn't yet what he had imagined.

Eventually, exhausted by the workload and the technical challenges, Ravi stepped away from the project.

MORIV went offline. But the idea never truly disappeared.

Six Months Later — A New Beginning

Even after stepping away, Ravi kept thinking about what MORIV could become.

This time, he knew he couldn't do everything alone.

He began searching for talented, capable people who could take responsibility, contribute their skills, and help turn the original idea into something bigger.

A new team of eight people, including Ravi, came together.

And with that, MORIV's next chapter began.

Building Something Bigger

The focus shifted towards developing a dedicated MORIV entertainment app — one designed to deliver a more polished, premium experience.

During development, Ravi also worked on MORIV.site.je, where he tested servers and experimented with the streaming experience.

He noticed that many movies and TV shows weren't available in Hindi. This inspired him to make Hindi entertainment a priority. Today, approximately 60–80% of MORIV's movies and TV shows are available in Hindi, making Hindi content an important part of MORIV's vision.

The team also focused on the app's design, performance, infrastructure, and streaming experience. Server reliability became a major priority because a great-looking app means little if the viewing experience doesn't work properly.

Not every technical challenge has been solved yet. Some servers can still experience issues, and there is more work to do.

But MORIV continues to improve, one step at a time.

A Small Teaser — “MORIV Coming Back”

While working on the project, Ravi posted an Instagram story saying: “MORIV coming back”

At the time, it was a glimpse of his plans for MORIV. Eventually, he shifted his focus back to the app, putting the website project on hold.

The Journey Continues

MORIV has come a long way from a small website with around 100 movies to a much bigger vision for entertainment.

The journey hasn't been perfect. There have been setbacks, pauses, technical problems, and plenty of work behind the scenes.

But the goal remains the same: to build an entertainment platform that people enjoy using.

MORIV is still evolving, and there is more to come.

This isn't the end of the story. It's only the beginning.
